Community development activities will include real estate development projects that are related to community development goals such as historic preservation, main street façade improvement, and creation or renovation of “public spaces”. Students interested in furthering their skills in the wood industry, may be eligible for scholarships in specialized training such as moulder operation, kiln operation, profile knife grinding and lumber grading. Trainees interested in attending the Lumber Grading School at the RCDA who can demonstrate financial need may apply for a scholarship to enable their participation. Training activities will consist of training programs in woodworking and other wood industry topics.
