THE HISTORIC ELKINS RAILROAD DEPOT

The Randolph County Development Authority and its members have spent numerous hours over the past several years working with the community and government agencies, to get funding to restore the railroad bridge that would make the Depot accessible to the world's train system once again. The Depot and the town square are now once again connected to the rest of the world and has become the hub for all activity that takes place during a big event. Elkins has now become a tourist destination all year around and not just a stop along the way.  This will help stimulate the economy and bring more people to the city and the surrounding areas to come and see what we have to offer.
