Elkins Railyard: The development of the Elkins Railyard is an ongoing project which has been very successful through the hard work of the RCDA.  While the project is still in its early stages, it has already paid dividends by bringing tourists and businesses to the area. RCDA Director Jennifer Giovannitti says the value of the Railyard property has increased dramatically due to the development taking place.  "In 1998, an acre in the railyard was valued at $60,000 and in 2008 an acre was worth $250,000", Giovannitti said. New businesses located in the Railyard have provided an economic stimulus which has greatly contributed to the growth of the community.
